Education
1981

MS in Physics and Physics teaching, Odessa State University, Ukraine
Diploma theme: Magnetic characteristics of magnetotransistors.

1983

RNDr. in Physics, J.E.Purkyne University, Brno, Czechoslovakia)

1996

PhD in High Energy Physics, Joint Institute of Nuclear Research, Dubna, Rossia
PhD theme: Gas detectors for the K3l decay study, neutrinoless 2beta decay study and the investigation of neutron-rich nuclei

Experience
1996-present

Research Fellow, Institute of Experimental Physics

  • Participation in ATLAS Collaboration
  • Participation in the development and testing of on-line calibration system for the End Cap Liquid Argon Calorimeter of ATLAS.
  • Production of parts for the Liquid Argon Calorimeter of ATLAS. It consists of print boards with the different patterns for the wiring of the final modules, filter boxes for the slow control of argon, mechanical construction parts for Low Voltage Power etc.
1991-1995

Research Assistent, Institute of Experimental Physics

  • Participation in ATLAS Collaboration
  • Development of the microstrip gas chambers (MSGC) as an alternative technology for the Inner detector of ATLAS. Our group was involved in CERN R&D-28 collaboration too.

1984-1990

Research Assistent, Laboraty of Nuclear Problems, Joint Institute of Nuclear Research, Dubna, Russia

  • Development of the electrodeless drift chambers for the measurement of the electromagnetic showers coordinates with a high accuracy (development, production and testing) for the Hyperon experiment on the U-70 accelerator of Institute of High Energy Physics in Serpukhov (USSR).
  • Development and building of the large time projection chamber for the BAS experiment (Big Hadron Spectrometer) on the planned UNK accelerator in Protvino. After a discontinue of UNK our group conversed the time projection chamber into a head detector for the COMBAS experiment (JINR, Dubna) for research of instable heavy ions.
  • Development of high rate calorimeter for hard radiation conditions. Ionization sampling calorimeter based on a high pressure gas was proposed for the central region of MultiParticle Spectrometer at UNK acclerator (from 1988).

1981-1983

Research Assistent, Institute of Experimental Physics, Košice, Slovakia

  • Participation in the development and investigation of the electroluminiscence drift chamber.

Teaching
1992-2001

Experimental methods in nuclear physics. P.J.Safarik University, Košice.
Course for MS students.

1996 Experimental methods in nuclear physics II. P.J.Safarik University, Košice.
Course for PhD students.
